The Next Election
Many local governments will have elections in the coming months. Go to our program SmartVoter.org for information about elections unique to your part of California.
The next regularly scheduled state-wide election California is June 8, 2010. It is the primary election for California executive offices and state and federal legislative offices. Statewide propositions will also appear on the ballot. Some counties will have local offices on the ballot.
You must be registered to vote 15 days before an election in order to vote in that election.

Work at the Polls
Registered voters and certain high school students may work at the polls on election day. There is also work on election night processing and counting ballots. For the hours and the amount of pay contact your County Elections Official.
